LG Bruce Johnson stepping down next week

Next Friday will be Lieutenant Governor Bruce Johnson's last day in office (for now), as he is leaving public life for the private sector. Nothing too shocking, even though there wasn't much buzz about it. Johnson is simply getting a month's head start, since he and Taft are both leaving office anyways in January. What will be interesting to watch is if and when Johnson makes a comeback bid. He is in his early forties, and seems to be a competent, well-respected guy. His tenure as LG made him the most visible member of the Governor's Office, seeing as how Taft has played the hermit after his ethics violations. Only time will tell, but I do not see him making a run for Columbus Mayor at this point.
